Happy New Year! I hope your holidays were enjoyable and that your new year is off to a good start!
I’ve decided to begin this year’s blog postings at the end of the AutoCAD alphabet. So, here’s a quick look at the ZOOMWHEEL system variable.
The ZOOMWHEEL system variable controls the direction of zooming when you roll the middle mouse wheel. Changing the zoom direction can be helpful when you’re switching between AutoCAD and software programs that zoom in the opposite direction. Avoid confusion by setting the AutoCAD zoom direction to match your other applications.
When ZOOMWHEEL is set to 0, as it is by default, rolling the wheel forward zooms in and rolling the wheel backward zooms out. Setting ZOOMWHEEL to 1 does the opposite.
