When you select an existing hatch in AutoCAD 2011, the context sensitive Hatch Editor tab is displayed. It looks similar to the Hatch Creation tab and includes all the tools you need for modifying a hatch.
In addition to the Hatch Editor tab, AutoCAD 2011 displays a round blue grip at the center of each selected hatch object. If you pass the cursor over the grip, direct manipulation options are displayed. You can use direct manipulation to stretch or move the hatch or change its origin, angle, or scale.
Select one of the available options from the menu or activate the grip and then press CTRL to cycle through each option.
As you drag the cursor, the preview image automatically updates to reflect the change. You can pick a point or enter a value to complete the edit. For example, you might drag the cursor to a visually appropriate scale and then enter a specific value, such as 50, to avoid sloppy values like 53.03017. Forget the days of trial-and-error when trying to determine hatch scale!
